What is the reason behind people believing in the concept of causation, even though it cannot be proven or deemed necessary for everything to exist?

I agree that it can not be proven.
However I do not agree that it is not necessary. I challenge you to tell me how we could even communicate without the idea of causation. It is necessary for logic and therefore it is necessary for any meaningful communication. The very idea of a “chain of thought” would be meaningless.
